Updates from Project Sunrise website (www.projectsunrise.org)
First to come up with a website in relation to the oil spill was the provincial government of Guimaras in partnership with the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), and with fund assistance from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Called Project Sunrise, the website was put up on August 18, a week after M/T Solar 1 carrying 2.1 million liters of bunker fuel sank in the Panay Gulf, south of Guimaras. The Updates page provides links to damage reports, master lists of evacuated families, and health updates by the Task Force Sunrise. The page also carries links to status reports and advisories by the NDCC, BFAR and Department of Health.
