Advancing CBCRM through organizational development

The Building Institutions for Learning and Development (BUILD) Program of the CBCRM Resource Center aims to facilitate the development of learning organizations among CBCRM acters (NGOs, POs, academic and research institutions, etc.) towards equitable and sustainable natural resource management and community development practice. BUILD endeavors to do this by:

  • Providing capacity-building and opportunities to institutionalize learning and knowledge management among partners;
  • Enhancing partnerships and exchanges between CBCRM acters;
  • Advancing and applying the knowledge generated by the CBCRM Resource Center and its partners in the areas of participatory monitoring and evaluation (PME), fisheries management (FM), community organizing (CO), law & governance (L&G), sustainable livelihoods (SL), gender mainstreaming and organizational development (OD); and,
  • Building on the experiences and practices of OD principles and tools that would advance the gains of the CBCRM movement as part of the broader social movement.
