Our Programs
Learning and Research Network (LeaRN)
LeaRN is a regional network that aims to develop and enhance a learning community of CBCRM researchers, practitioners and advocates in the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and other Asian countries to further evolve and promote the theory and practice of CBCRM. To achieve this, LeaRN works with the learning community to generate learning from experience, theorize on these learnings and experiences, and disseminate and ensure shared understanding of such insights and theories.
LeaRN endeavors to do this by:
- Supporting and encouraging innovations in participatory research in CBCRM by providing small grants, technical support and venues for the sharing of research results.
- Providing mentoring and capacity-building support to CBCRM programs by working with learning teams.
- Strengthening the link between research and policy advocacy by disseminating and popularizing good practices in CBCRM.
- Supporting documentation, analysis and synthesis of CBCRM experiences for wider learning using varied forms (e.g. newsletter, web-based activities, books, etc.)
LeaRN is being supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF), and the Open Society Institute (OSI).
