Rules in using the library
The CBCRM Resource Center Library brings together books, journals, newsletters, audio-tapes, CD-ROMs and other electronic materials, monographs, research reports, conference proceedings, photocopied periodical articles, journals, brochures, and other learning materials on local and international CBCRM practice and related topics. The following general rules shall guide the use of the library.
Who may use the library
CBCRM Resource Center staff, including contractuals and volunteers, members of the CBCRM resource pool of fellows, students, researchers and other information seekers may use the library subject to the rules and regulations governing such use.
Borrower's card
RC Staff and fellows who are planning to use the library should avail themselves of the borrower's card issued by the CBCRM Resource Center. To be valid, the card should be duly countersigned by the Center Coordinator. CBCRM RC staff, fellows and network partners are free to use the library resources. Non-staff/fellows are required to pay Php 20.00 (U.S. 0.40) per visit. They will receive special library cards that would entitle them to borrow books from the library, strictly for room use only.
Loans, losses and fines
- CBCRM RC staff, fellows and network partners may borrow not more than one (1) material from the library per week.
- Any person who loses or fails to return a material from the library three (3) days after the due date shall replace it with the same title or a good photocopy, or shall pay its current replacement value, or replace it within 30 days with another title selected by the Knowledge Sharing Committee. In all cases, the person shall pay a fine equivalent to 50% of the cost of the book.
- Failure to comply with the rule above regarding fines for lost library materials shall mean forfeiture of library privileges until the account is properly settled.
- Any person who shall deface, mutilate, appropriate for him/herself or steal any library material shall replace it or pay its current replacement value and pay a fine of not less than Php 500.00 or 50% of the current cost of the material, whichever is higher, and have his/her privileges cancelled.
