CBCRM case studies

Case studies in CBCRM have developed as important means for sharing stories among researchers, practitioners and communities in their efforts at protecting and sustaining their coastal environments. As learning tools, these documents present essential information and analyses on particular aspects of community-based work, highlighting good practices and strategies while pointing out specific issues and problems. As advocacy instruments, case studies inspire people and communities to manage their resources effectively and sustainably, and help promote the community-based approach to a wider audience including policy-makers.
